ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The VidhiNama Law Journal [ISBN-978-81-958496-0-4] is a quarterly, rigorously reviewed flagship journal of VidhiNama Education and Research Centre LLP. The e-Journal seeks to serve the purpose of promoting scholarly research and provide a platform where everyone related to the legal fraternity can contribute in building a quality open-access platform that can be used by anyone to gain or develop their knowledge and expertise in the field of law.

It aims to publish scholarly articles, research papers, book reviews, and case comments from academicians, scholars, legal practitioners and law students, that would be beneficial for the legal fraternity. The journal is going to be guided by an editorial team and an advisory board comprising eminent professors and legal luminaries.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

VidhiNama is an all-encompassing platform for the legal fraternity committed to providing helpful, credible, and authoritative information. Our main aim behind this initiative is to provide a credible source of information for everyone in the legal fraternity.

Our main aim and vision is to provide free to access, authoritative, credible, and helpful ‘DIGITAL LEARNING AND RESEARCH RESOURCE’ for the legal fraternity in India. We believe that quality legal education and research should be freely accessible to everyone and towards this end, we will provide research articles relating to law, case analysis, a compendium of all major law subjects, and legal updates on our portal which will be immensely helpful to all.

THEME

VidhiNama Law Journal welcomes original, analytical, and unpublished manuscripts on relevant areas of law and the authors are encouraged to add to the discourse with a topic of their choice on any legal issue. Our goal is to promote inter-disciplinary research in the legal domain and related disciplines. All submissions shall go through a rigorous review process and editing by the Editorial Board.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. VidhiNama invites submissions from students, professionals, or others interested in publishing with us.
  2. VidhiNama welcomes all articles, research papers, book reviews and case comments and case analysis related to law and legal issues.
  3. The manuscript should be the original and unpublished work of the author and it should not be under consideration for publication anywhere.
  4. Co-authorship of up to 2 authors is allowed.
  5. Manuscripts over 20% plagiarism would be rejected without review.
  6. Authors submitting Long/Short articles must include abstract with the article. Abstract [below two space from Title] not exceeding 250 words. Text must be in single space, Italicised, twelve (12) font size, Times New Roman, Justified, indented from both sides up to four (4) points indicated on ruler.
  7. The word count of the manuscripts shall be as follows:
    • Long Articles: 4000-8000 words
    • Short Articles: 2500-5000 words
    • Case Analysis: 1500-3500 words
    • Book Reviews: 1500-3500 words
  8. The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish submissions that do not adhere to the prescribed word limit if it deems the submission fit to be published.
  9. All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with line spacing of 1.5. Appropriate footnoting should be given wherever necessary. The font size for footnotes should be Times New Roman, Font Size 10 with single spacing.
  10. Any uniform method of citation can be used (Bluebook, MLA, SILC, NUJS Law Review, ILI, etc.).
  11. If you are not sure which method to use, you can use the VidhiNama citation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  1. Full Name, Passport-size formal photograph, Affiliation, E-Mail and Contact Number(s) of the Author(s) shall be submitted in a separate file along with the submission. The file should be named as: Author’s Bio.
  2. The manuscript must be submitted in .doc or .docx format. The name of the file should be: “Author’s Name_Title of Manuscript”.
  3. Authors can submit their manuscript through this google form: [CLOSED]
  4. The Journal is likely to be released in March 2023.
  5. The copyright of shortlisted contributors for publication shall be with the VidhiNama Education and Research Centre LLP.
  6. A soft copy of the published issue as well as an E-Certificate of Publication shall be sent to the contributors to their respective email addresses.
  7. There is no publication or processing fee. The publication will be completely free of cost.
  8. The authors will positively hear from VidhiNama within 2 weeks of submission of manuscript regarding the status of the manuscript.
